Cirque Asylum Permanent Closure
This is without a doubt, the hardest thing we’ve ever had to write. It is with very heavy hearts that we must announce the permanent closure of our Cirque Asylum studio. Most of you have already heard the news via direct email or other social media posts, but it was important to us to say something here, as well.
While we experienced setbacks due to Covid-19 and some damages to our building in the recent earthquake, these are not the exclusive reasons for our closure. Our building closure has given time to pause for deep personal reflection. Our head trainer, Jennifer Wilkins, has come to realize that she should focus on her family’s life goals. She and her kids will officially be moving to Wyoming to be with her other half. With this, she and Meisha decided it was best to fully close the studio down. As this era of her life comes to an end, Jennifer looks forward to finding where her passion for movement and helping others will take her.
Many of our instructors will still be available for independent private lessons online and possibly in person, once the public health situation improves. If you’d like to reach out to any of our instructors, you may do so here.
We cannot thank our members and the Cirque community enough for the support over the years. We wish you all the best as we move forward on our individual journeys. The memories that have been made at Cirque Asylum will forever be cherished.
We hope you will all eventually find wonderful new homes to continue your own circus journeys within. There are many other great studios to choose from and if you need recommendations based on your personal preferences and style, please contact. We’ll be delighted to help you find a new home.
With much love,
Your Cirque Asylum Team 💙
