I got started in cirque as a bucket list experience and immediately I was hooked.
I love the ability to fly and feel utter bliss all while completely connecting to multiple souls in hopes of sparking a fire of inspiration within them to find what moves them to be free.
I am eternally grateful for my staff and all the residents of our Asylum supporting us and giving us the ability to share our hearts with you. We are passionate about giving everyone a strong and able body to go and do whatever your soul desires.
If there is one thing I am very passionate about it’s movement and exercise. I love breaking down a movement and allowing patience for my body to learn. Teaching is a natural mode that I am absolutely inspired by; but guiding an individual on a path to health and a newly kindled relationship with their body is extremely fun for me. I enjoy all things holistic and simply; my husband, my dog, family, friends, playing at the studio, hiking, travel and of course my wearable art activewear company Aktiveda. These are the things I live for and I believe that gratitude is the key to a happy life. I am so grateful for everything life has to bring my way.
My journey with pole began in 2012. I started out at below a beginner level, barely able to hold myself up for longer than a few seconds; but with ever spin I mastered and every inch of strength I built, my confidence soared and I became obsessed. My love for teaching has grows every day as I am able to help others achieve those same personal victories; watching them have fun challenging themselves in pole class, and conquering their lives in and outside the studio with their newfound strength.
I started out with Pole and really liked it and I still do. But my focus switched to Silks when the studio was opened in Pleasant grove. It was closer and so I decided to try it. Turns out I really love it and I saw my improvements quicker than I did with pole. I have performed twice now and started teaching JW about a year ago and teaching silks about 5 months.
I love that it is keeping me in shape and how fun it is to work out. I love the people at this studio and the positive environment. I love how it is challenging me everyday to do something new.
My other hobby that I love is riding dirt bikes (motorcycles). I can not tell you how much doing silks has improved my riding skills. Like my forearms no longer get arm pump while riding due to the silks, I love it. Among many other things from silks have improved my riding and everyday life.

I was first interested in Hula Hoop dance over 6 years ago. I bought a hoop and tried to learn, but being frustrated i set it aside. Almost 2 years ago i picked my hoop back up and tried again. I am self taught by watching other local hoopers, online videos and occasionally was able to find an actual class here and there. I have now been spinning Poi for 1 year and teach at Cirque Asylum. I could not be happier to be part of this Circus Family. The love I have for this place and all whom I have met there has influenced my life so positively. Its truly helped bring out the love I have for myself.
I love the variety of ways you can choose to exercise your mind body and soul through the variety of classes we offer. It’s unique, challenging, empowering… But most of all its fun!
I had recently went through certifications for 7 styles of yoga and met Jennifer who introduced me to pole and silks years ago when I taught Yoga in her old studio. I loved the dream she was building then and I love it now. I could not be more happy to be a part in its continuous growth. I am excited to continue integrating my passion and skills (old and new) into my classes. Cirque Asylum feeds passion to many of my hobbies outside of the studio. I love anything creative, working with children (as i have for almost 11 years now!), nature, trying new things and studying psychology.
I started with jazz and modern dance in high school and have been exploring every type of dance ever since. From ballet, to ballroom, to pole, to trapeze, to hoop. I love it all!
Cirque is a medium of art that is so wonderfully expressible. It is an art unlike any other, with movement in the stillness and the unlimited creative avenues aerial dance provides.
After attending a bachelorette party in Vegas, I wanted to continue to attend classes because it was a fun way to exercise. After some time I fell in love with the strength and flexibility classes offered at Cirque Asylum. As the studio has grown, so have my interests and now I have attended most classes offered at Cirque Asylum. The studio has helped me develop a love for all things circus as well as functional fitness.
I love being challenged and seeing what my body is capable of doing. Each new struggle is a time for me to develop my strength and skills. There are never ending goals to achieve!
Outside of the studio, I am a recreational therapist at a drug rehab program for adults.
I started Hip Hop when I was 11. My little brother saw a really cool move on a music video and we both wanted to try it! So we spent all day working on it and once we got it I kept thinking of new moves I wanted to learn and after many years I can finally do a few of them!
What I love about dance is that it is an incredible way to express yourself and connect with others, it can also help you in many different ways including self-confidence.
Something about me that most people wouldn’t know is that I used to love Dungeons & Dragons!
